Which utensils fit in the tentacles?

The octopus is designed for standard cooking spoons, spatulas, and whisks with a handle diameter of up to approx. 3 cm (~1.2 inches). Very thick handles or wide turners may not fit – just ask us if you're unsure.

Can it be washed?

Wipe with a damp cloth or soft brush with a little dish soap. The dishwasher is not suitable – PLA deforms at temperatures above 50 °C / 122 °F.

Is it food-safe?

PLA is a plant-based plastic that is generally considered food-contact neutral, but is not officially certified for direct, prolonged food contact. For holding utensils (no direct food contact), it's perfectly suitable.

Good as a gift – will it arrive safely?
