What Does "Voronoi" Actually Mean?

The Voronoi diagram is a mathematical pattern found throughout nature — in honeycomb, giraffe spots, soap bubbles, even the cells in your skin. It creates organic, irregular cells, each surrounding a unique point. The result: a modern, asymmetric pattern that turns any object into a designer piece. No two pieces are exactly alike.

What Is PLA HT — and Why Does It Matter?

Standard PLA deforms at just 50 °C / 122 °F — so a quick hot rinse or a spot next to a radiator can ruin it. PLA HT (High Temp) withstands up to ~110 °C / 230 °F. That's a real game changer:

• ✅ Hot rinse? No problem (e.g. after sticky black soap)
• ✅ Dishwasher-safe (top rack, max 70 °C recommended)
• ✅ Stands easily next to a radiator or in a sunny window
• ✅ More durable than standard 3D prints

Hygienic Thanks to the 2-Part Design

The Voronoi grid insert lifts out of the base. That means you can reach every corner — no hidden limescale or soap residue. Just rinse, drip-dry, done. Many competitors offer one-piece designs where dirt gets stuck in the cells.

Frequently Asked Questions

How exactly does the drainage work?

The inner surface of the base slopes slightly to one side. Water doesn't pool — it flows out a small opening at the lowest point directly into your sink (when you place the dish at the sink edge).

Is it really dishwasher-safe?

Yes — but please use the top rack and max 70 °C / 158 °F. PLA HT theoretically withstands up to 110 °C, but dishwasher sprays and extended heat cycles can stress the material long-term. The top rack is gentler.

Does it work for liquid soap dispensers?

More as a coaster — the dish is 10 × 7 cm and can hold dispensers up to ~7 cm diameter. Drips of soap gel flow neatly through the Voronoi grid.

Can I order a custom color?

PLA HT is currently available in selected colors only (we're expanding the range). Message us with your wish — if we have the filament, we'll print it. Otherwise we'll recommend the closest standard color.

What if it arrives damaged?

Send us a photo within 7 days. We'll reprint and reship at no cost.

A Note on 3D-Printed Originals

Each dish is printed individually to order. As a result, subtle print marks (e.g. fine layer lines) may be visible — part of the charm of handcrafted 3D prints. The Voronoi pattern makes every piece visually unique — no two dishes are exactly identical.
